According to a report from the scientists from the University of Leeds a new technique has been created that can provide a 3D colour image of tissue which will enable it to be examined better than when a 2D image is used.

The 3D images can be rotated on a computer screen and therefore be seen from any angle.

The UK charity Cancer Research UK  has said that the technology could help researchers understand the way in which some cancers grow and spread and this will in turn help cancers to be treated more effectively

The technique that is used is called digital microscopy, this technique first appeared about 10 years ago but now scientists have brought in new scanners that have upgraded it from 2D to 3D

The 3D images will reveal a lot more information to medical teams and will allow them to look deeper into the tissue to see how a cancer spreads and acts. This will take a lot of the guess work out the old method.

Vodafone was left as C&WW’s only suitable candidate to buy them out after India’s Tata Communications put an end to its offer that was on the table last week.

The agreed deal means that Vodafone will pay 38 pence per C&WW share, which values C&WW at £1.04 billion.
